Lord I need You....

I have been wanting to start a blog for a couple of months now.  I am not a writer.  In fact, each time I write an email to a group of people I go to my husband to proof read it and correct any mistakes I made.  Now you know how bad I am at writing.  I hope I will overcome my fear of writing as I begin this new venture.

I thought of having a blog to log my experiences of married life and motherhood.

Today I heard my husband singing the song by the popular Catholic singer Matt Maher  "Lord I Need You". I have heard this song several times before but today it really reminded me how much this song is relevant in my life. Especially these days with children around and not having much time for myself, it is very easy to slip into those frustrating moments where I lose patience, kindness, love etc.  Being a wife and mother if I lose it, then the children and the husband lose it too.  These are the moments that the lyrics of this song make full sense to me.  How much I need Him,  every second, every minute,  every hour.  How I need to cry out to him for his help, our only help, our one defense and righteousness. He is the only one who can bring the Perfect Beauty in any marriage.

Here are the lyrics:

Lord, I come, I confess
Bowing here I find my rest
Without You I fall apart
You're the One that guides my heart

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
And where You are, Lord, I am free
Holiness is Christ in me

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

Teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
And when I cannot stand I'll fall on You
Jesus, You're my hope and stay

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

You're my one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
